One Lone Beastie I be!

So I just finished up my first fantasy piece. If you read the previous post you would have seen that call him "Geronimo" he looks like all those old western "Indians" with the tomahawks

Here is my new Army for Warhammer Fantasy.It's Beastmen. I've always liked the Satyr look to this army and after looking into Dwarfs and not liking the models they seem to have some thing off (its a lack of legs). I then decided to go with this army.


My first unit of gors


These are my favorite models so far out of the set.From left to right Vig Rhames(its the face), Speedy, and Geronimo


the brown on the base is cork My Beastmen are coming down from the Black Fire Pass

see that brown spot with the horns shaped like a "V" that my forest and I will kill any hornless stuntie that tries to come into it!!!!

So I decied to Take the plunge and start up a IG army...but with a twist I am tring to keep it under 250 dollars for a 2000 point army. Impossable you say with the Gw price increase at 25.00 a Box for 10 simple guards men what are we to do.....Enter Wargames Factory

In this box for 13.99 you get 18 troops with all the fixins
lets look inside

the first thing you notice is that the sprue are linked together so if you need to stop and come back to your work you can leave it on the table and it won't fall off the edge.

As you can see three bodies per sprue with a ton of options don't believe me lets look at heads

thats 6 heads for you good guys and....

For you Chaos loving cultist there are some good head to also in the corner you can make a baby Cthulhu Cultist!!!
so lets put one together

So this is my first one he is armed with a FNH Tac54 Assault Rifle (Las-gun). After a little bit I put a little elbow grease and whipped up a squad of them

the Lack of bases means you need to spend a litle more to get some

the bodes are one piece so with a bone saw all can do is add on different arms and heads

I tossed my "mud" up on the walls and ground

And made some doors for the front entrance Im going to make a Cygus for the door or....make a Imperial Aquila for the door

12000 pts of titians,stomps, baneblades and a Hierophant oh my, a hell of a game

So I Finally got to use my 2 Stompas and my Skullhammer in a 12,000 pt Apoc game this past weekend it was fun for the first hour or so then the rules argument came out….does he have this? what his str!?!?! Over all we needed a judge to over see the rules of the game and to help the game out here awesome pics you can see Big Wrek in the first one (he was killed in the opening round buy a Sternguard unit!)

it got a spice grinder for a mount and a some bits from a flash light his forearm guard is a piece from the planet strike set its a single shield

here is his proof that he's a Kustum stompa Dezind by Guz and Zug the twin Meks of my army

so hopefully he'll be "Stompa"ing your planet soon!

My Trollbloods need shrine too

So while getting my rear end handed to me at the local FNM tournament I decided to sketch an idea out, well It was more grand then What I ended up making but hey At least I made it so here is "The Battle Shrine"

It made from foam and dry wall mud to give it some rocky like texture it was based black then from about a foot away sprayed with a dark grey, Then I carved the runes with a "Hobby Knife" painted them with A true blue then went into then With Ice Blue, then dry brushed Skull White over the whole item.I then flocked it with a mix had laying around to age it up a bit. For storage you can remove the rock, it is held on buy 2 toothpicks in opposite corners.

So as I'm cruising my local Dollar General I came across this

It a cheap Chines war toys for About 8 bucks lets look inside

so we get these guys thay stand in about 3 inches tall....well the'll make a good IG Memorial

all right final some fire power for orks I wish I had this when I first got into the hobby now I can make some lobbas next!!

For the last piece I wanted to show you is this tent

Now it would do for a 40k game but for Warmachine quit nice with quick paint job to make it more canvas and a Cygnar crest on the side (the swan for all of you non warmachine peopli ) It also came with 3 ammo crates a computer bank and Totaly disproportional f-22 still all for 8 bucks you cant go wrong

Here a small wall, that reminds me of the walls you see a rural areas of the country, its measures 8in by 1in tall, it was made from left over scraps of foam board and a piece of left over Masonite
I Striped the ends of the outside of the foam board and with a pen scratch in the rocky details
